Curtis Kaiser, JD/MBA, founded the Kaiser Law Group in Long Beach, California in 2007 with the intent to deliver estate planning with incomparable service. To meet that goal, he developed a collaborative process including the client and his/her trusted advisors.
Beginning his career as a litigator with Morrison & Foerster in Orange County, California’s largest law firm at the time, Curtis has invested in his profession with a quest for excellence. He is a Board-Certified Estate Planning Specialist, a designation held by few estate planning attorneys in California. This commitment to specialization led him to develop what he calls “Purposeful Planning for the Millionaire Next Door®.” This is a client-centered model that focuses on sensible financial decisions to accumulate and sustain family wealth in all of its forms, across generations.
Drawing on his focused and ongoing estate planning training and compassionate dedication to his clients, he adeptly guides families, individuals, and small business owners to create estate plans that help to minimize all forms of taxes, costs, and complications, while maximizing simplicity, ease of implementation, and family harmony. Kaiser Law Group’s Legacy Care Plan is perpetually adaptable to serve the client’s needs and life circumstances.
Curtis is well connected in the business community with a strong network of other professional advisors. He serves as a group leader for the Long Beach Airport group of Provisors and is also a Laureate in Wealth Strategies, a designation awarded by the Laureate Center for Wealth Advisors to estate planning professionals who counsel high-net worth clients. Curtis is also the co-founder of the Southern California chapter of the Purposeful Planning Institute. He previously served as co-chair of the Los Angeles chapter of TIGE21, the premier membership community for high-net worth creators and preservers and is a frequent presenter the Financial Planning Association, and CalCPA.
As a past instructor at the University of California, Irvine’s Paralegal Program, he developed the program’s Estate Planning course. While teaching at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, he taught a course in Strategic Business Communication and mentored a group of 18 business school students. He led them in a peer-learning group experience and introduced them to a different local private company CEO each month to hear about the personal and professional challenges that each business leader faced in their own journeys.
Curtis earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University, where he was named a Dean’s Fellow and received a 100% merit scholarship. Curtis also has an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. In addition, he is a proficient Spanish speaker and serves clients who prefer to communicate in their native language.
